Stephen Donaldson’s photographs have appeared in a wide variety of publications, books, calendars, annual reports and other media, and he continues to travel to remote areas of the world to shoot stock and high quality editorial images of the world’s exotic far reaches.
He is the author of three published books of photography: The Berkshires, Barns of the Berkshires, and Along Route 7: A Journey Through Western New England.
In October 2013 he became the publisher and sole distributor of the Revised 2nd Edition of The Berkshires which was expanded from 128 pages to 144 with the addition of 40 new photographs.

In The Berkshires he does a variety of commercial assignment work, magazine editorial assignment, corporate and private aerial photography, architectural exteriors and interiors, and general promotional and advertising shoots. He also photographs corporate social events and provides color and black-and-white portraiture packages. His studio is located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
In December 2020 Stephen opened Gallery SGD in the iconic Flying Church Building located at 198 Main Street in downtown Great Barrington, MA. The gallery is a permanent exhibition space for a large representative collection of his fine art work from The Berkshires, western New England, and around the world. Visitors to the gallery can also purchase signed copies of his books and choose from his collection of over 85 greeting cards made with prints of scenes from The Berkshires and western New England.
